ANGER

Step 1 Make no friendship with an angry man…lest thou learn his ways and get a snare to your soul. (mind, will, emotions) Proverbs 22.24,25

Step 2 Let God control your tongue. A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger. Proverbs 15.1

Step 3 Check your motives. Doest thou well to be angry? Jonah 4.4 If your motive is wrong...you will be in danger of judgment. Matthew 5.22

Step 4 Avoid revengeful thoughts. Fret not thyself in anywise to do evil. Psalms 37.8,9 Instead, choose to forgive so that God may forgive you. Mark 11.25,26

Step 5 Refuse wrong actions. An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. Proverbs 29.22

Choose to obey God’s Word and allow the Holy Spirit to free you from anger.
