Girded with truth

Stand, therefore, having your loins girded about with truth,… Ephesians 6.14

To gird means to prepare oneself for action. (Webster's dictionary)

To gird means to make fast or secure or surround (for example a flexible belt or cord that was used to gird on the sword)

The warrior is to be girded about with truth--standing in the truth and surrounded by the truth--and moving only in the truth.

In Him I live and move and have my being.

The Bible states that thy word is truth.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
