Confrontation When Jesus confronted the devil in the wilderness as recorded in the gospel of Luke—– He spoke the Word of God. He spoke what God had already said—–the words had already been written down in what we know as the Old Testament. Jesus confronted the devil with “It is written…” Jesus knew something that we need to realize——When God speaks—that’s the way it will be —–and nothing can change it. God’s Word is established forever. In Genesis, God spoke and creation occurred. In Revelation it is the Word of God that will judge all things. Jesus came to destroy the devil (Hebrews 2.14) and the works of the devil (1 John 3.8) On the cross Jesus said, “It is finished” .——and there is nothing the devil can do about it.Isaiah 53 says that by Jesus’ stripes we are healed. When we need healing we can stand and speak God’s Word—declaring to the devil and the sickness “You’re too late—–Isaiah 53 is already written!” God has already spoken—it can’t be changed—–it is written! When the enemy comes against you in any area of your life —speak up boldly —Speak the scripture that God has already spoken for that particular situation. It will surely come to pass as you come in agreement with what God has already spoken. Tell the devil, the disease, the problem… “You’re too late—–It’s written!
