DECEPTION

The Bible is clear that we as believers must walk wisely in these last days. We must stay out of deceit. (deception)

Listed below are some practical Biblical helps.

DON’T DECEIVE YOURSELF

Be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer. (James 1.22)

Bridle your tongue. (James 1.26)

Don’t think you are something that you are not—ex.gifts (Galatians 6.3)

Admit your sin. (I John 1.8)

Avoid wine and strong drink. (Proverbs 20.1)

Don’t let riches deceive you. (Matthew 13.22)

Stay out of lust—all kinds—including things. (Ephesians 4.22)

DON’T LET YOUR HEART DECEIVE YOU

Don’t have pride of heart. (Obadiah 3)

Take heed—pay attention. (Deuteronomy 11.16)

Exhort one another daily in the Word. (Hebrews 3.13)

LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU

By any means. (II Thessalonians 2.3)

Stay out of false or strange doctrines. (Ephesians 4.14, Hebrews 13.9)

Be alert to cunning craftiness—philosophy, traditions, fables, genealogy

(Ephesians 4.14, Colossians 2.8, I Timothy 1.4)

Stay out of the folly of fools. (Proverbs 14.8)

Avoid evil businessmen who falsify balances. (Amos 8.4-7)

Watch out for vain words—commandments of men.

(Ephesians 5.6, Titus 1.10,11,16)

Be alert for perverse men among your congregations and groups.

(Acts 20.30)

Watch out for evil men and seducers—have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof, mockers, and sensual.

(II Timothy 3, Jude 4,19)

Don’t go to the ungodly—non-believer for counsel. (Proverbs 12.5)

Don’t trust in the favor of man. (Proverbs 31.30)

DON’T FOLLOW FALSE LEADERS—KNOW THE BIBLE

There are and will be false christs. (Matthew 24.24)

There are and will be false prophets. (I John 4.1)

There are and will be false apostles. (II Corinthians 11.13)

There are and will be false teachers. (I Timothy 6.3 II Peter 2.13)

There are and will be false witnesses. (Proverbs 12.17)

DON’T ACCEPT SEDUCING SPIRITS AND DOCTRINES OF DEVILS.

Try the spirits—not everything that supernaturally appears is good.

(I John 4.1-4)

There are evil angels. (Psalms 78.49)

There are familiar spirits (I Samuel)

There are demonic signs, wonders, and miracles.

(Revelation 18.23, Exodus 7.8-13)

There is false “light”. (II Corinthians 11.14)

STUDY THE BOOK OF REVELATION

Be aware of end time events that are occurring.

Be alert to the upcoming world rulers and world system.

Stay out of fear.

READ THE BIBLE DAILY—–STUDY IT

The Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.

(Psalms 119.105)

It will keep you from deceit—you shall know the truth. (John 8.32)

Dear friend,

My prayer for you is that you will stay out of end time deception.

If you have been deceived in any area of your life, or you’re not sure if you have been —– right now pray this prayer:

Dear Jesus,

I renounce any demonic deception in my life. I want your truth to set me free in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name I command all demonic holds of deception to break and to leave my life and never return. I ask the Holy Spirit to fill my life and open my eyes to the truth that is only found in Jesus Christ. I plead the blood of Jesus that cleanses me from all sin. I choose to renounce all other religions and gods and choose Jesus Christ alone as my Lord and Savior.

In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen
