Honor

I Corinthians 13.7 states that love believeth all things.

Jesus stated in John 5.41 "I receive not honor from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not; if another shall come in his own name him ye will receive. How can ye believe, who receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only.

Are you more concerned what people think about you--than obeying God?

Do you care more what people say about what you are doing-- than what God says about what you are doing?

Do you want the chief seats in the meetings?

Are you more concerned about offending people than you are about offending God?

Are you more concerned about the reputation of the ministry (as man sees it) than the reputation as God sees it?

Do you seek the honor that comes from God or do you receive the honor of men?

Pray about it. If you have chosen the honor of man--repent (turn from it)- and ask God to forgive you and to cleanse you. Ask Him to help you to walk uprightly.
