No Fear

1.  God commands His children (born again believers) to not fear man because, “The fear of man brings a snare”. Fear puts people in bondage to the things that make them afraid. Anything that a person fears has control over him/her.

In Isaiah 51.12-13 God asks the question, “Who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of man who shall be made like grass, and forgettest the Lord thy maker…?” God also commands in Hebrews 13.6 that neither are we to fear what man shall do unto us.

2.  Furthermore, God commands that His people not fear the devil or demons. Instead, James 4.7 says, “Submit yourselves, therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Jesus states “And these signs shall follow those who believe. In my name shall they cast out devils.”( Mark 16.17)

God doesn’t give us the spirit of fear. (II Timothy 1.7) It comes from the devil.

3.  Therefore, God commands in Proverbs 3.25-26 to not even be afraid of fear.

The Bible states clearly that we are to “fear” only God.

Remember that a command is not a suggestion. It requires a choice on our part—to obey or disobey.

When God gives a command it is possible to do it. We simply make the choice to be obedient to God and God then “supernaturally” empowers us through The Holy Spirit.

The fear of the Lord is clean. (Psalms 19.9) The fear of the Lord will help you make good decisions. (Proverbs 9.10) The fear of the Lord will prolong your days. (Proverbs 10.21)

Choose today— only fear the Lord.

In Christ,

Bobbie
