Obedience

Partial obedience is disobedience.

In Matthew 10.7-8 Jesus sent the disciples out and commanded them to do six things.

"And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; freely ye have received, freely give."

Any church, or body of believers, that claims to be established by the Lord Jesus Christ (no matter what denomination) should be doing all of the six commands listed in Matthew 10.7-8.

To preach is only one of the six commands given in these verses. Preachers are preaching to congregations that are sick, diseased, in bondage, and dying because they are not obeying all of these commands. These six commands are not suggestions.

Partial obedience is disobedience. Either we obey the Lord Jesus or we do not.   The disciples were not allowed to pick and choose which of the commands they would obey--they were commanded to be obedient-- so is the church today.

 In Christ,

Bobbie
