One More Time The word of encouragement for you today is one more time. God is saying to you today--- ONE MORE TIME. Joshua when he went in to take the promised land at God's command-- lay on his face before God when step number two failed and they had lost the battle of Ai and there was damage in the camp. Joshua had heard correctly from God about taking the promised land and had given the right directions concerning the battle of Jericho and the spoils--God said to Joshua --get up-- you have an Achan in the camp. God gave Joshua the directions on removing Achan and new battle plans. Joshua and God's people were totally victorious in taking the city of Ai the second time because Joshua obeyed---one more time. Moses was sent back one more time to Egypt to deliver God's people. Moses had failed the first time in deliverance ministry. But God had not changed the calling on Moses' life. Even before Moses went to the desert God had a burning bush planned. God was not going to lose Moses even if He had to bring brother Aaron in to help get Moses to go back one more time. Moses, after giving all the excuses he could think of, obeyed God and went one more time to Egypt. This time God used Moses to come against not just one Egyptian, but all the forces of the enemy. God confirmed an entire nation's deliverance with signs, wonders, and miracles because Moses went before pharaoh--- one more time. Elijah was sent back--one more time to the place of ministry. The place where he had witnessed the power of God--the place where he had fled from because of the fear of man. Elijah obeyed and went back to his place of anointing. And on the way back Elijah was used to establish kingdoms. Elijah finished all that he was supposed to do, had a triumphant miraculous departure, and God established the furtherance of the ministry with double portion on his successor Elisha because Elijah continued with ministry---one more time. David learned as a shepherd the strength and power of God against enemies. He was not the chosen of his family, yet God chose and anointed him to be king. He learned how to depend upon God and to take the unjust criticism of others in his family. He had been in King Saul's court, as a musician. The King tried to kill him and David ended up back home tending the sheep again. Yet it was there at home that God taught David how to face and fight fierce enemies like a bear and a lion. He was being prepared for a giant and notice as a warrior king. Again God called for David to face the enemy alone--to depend totally on God for protection and power. David refused to be stopped by his family's ridicule or by Saul's armor. He kept his focus on God. The enemy was destroyed and David later became King, because David chose the anointing of God and ignored the criticism from family--- one more time. Simon an expert fisherman was about to change professions. He was to become a fisher of men. He was about to receive a name change from God as well. He knew about fishing in the natural, because he did it for a living. However, he did not know about fishing supernaturally--Jesus did. After total business results of zero for the fishing endeavors in the natural Jesus instructed Simon Peter to launch out in the deep and to get ready for a haul. Peter protested in the natural, but decided to obey the Lord, and to go out fishing with his nets one more time. Even though in the natural it was the wrong time and had already been tried before with zero results-- when Simon Peter obeyed Jesus- there was such an abundant catch that it doubled the net profit. The natural gave way to the supernatural when Simon Peter went fishing---one more time. In Christ, Bobbie |
