But Samuel ministered before the Lord, being a child...

And Samuel grew and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.

And all Israel knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord.

  • What is a prophet?   

A prophet is one who speaks forth the Word of the Lord with God's unlimited power.  There will be signs, wonders, and miracles that follow the speaking  of God's Word.  Prophets only speak when and what God tells them to speak and their words will always agree with the Bible.

   

  • What is a false prophet?

A false prophet is a person who claims to be from God but what they speak  does not agree with the Bible.  They have limited power and may do false signs, wonders, and miracles in order to trick people into believing that they are from God.  God will destroy all false prophets.
