The Lord spoke to Joshua, the son of Nun saying... Joshua 1.1 I will be with thee; I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Joshua 1.5 Be strong and of good courage...be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee wherever thou goest. Joshua 1.9
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. In your own strength you are limited. It takes God's strength to make right decisions and to stand strong against evil (wrong things).
First, you must be a born again believer in Jesus Christ. Being born again means that you have asked Jesus to come into your heart as your Lord and Savior. Second, read the Bible daily and do what it says. For example, the Bible says, "Thou shalt not steal." You obey what God says in the Bible and you don't take anything that doesn't belong to you--even if it is as small as a penny or paper clip. Third, pray for yourself and others in Jesus' Name. A born again believer has the privilege to pray in Jesus' Name and receive answers from God. Fourth, tell others about Jesus. Jesus changed your life! Spread the good news about Jesus. Encourage others to let Jesus be their Lord and Savior. Don't use fancy words--just tell them what Jesus has done for you and tell them how you asked Jesus to come in your heart--and ask them if they would like to ask Jesus in their heart. If they say yes, but don't know how to pray--then you just help them pray--pray the way you did when you asked Jesus in your heart and have them repeat it after you. In Christ, Bobbie |
