Proverbs 31 Woman by Bobbie Powers 

Chapter 12   

Proverbs 31.12  "She will do him good, and not evil, all the days of her life."

A wife is not to be a "good for nothing" but a doer of that which is right and good.

A wife needs to be aware of ways that she can support and encourage her husband. A household should never become a battleground between a wife and husband, because a house divided against itself cannot stand.

Daily the Proverbs 31 wife will seek God's direction in life in order to be a help and not a hindrance to her husband.

Furthermore, the Proverbs 31 wife will not be an embarrassment to her husband in actions, looks, or conversation. She allows God to bridle her tongue against gossip and criticism. She dresses with modesty and decorum. She is not lazy, nor her housekeeping slothful.

The Proverbs 31 wife is gracious in hospitality.

She can be depended on to do what she promises and will never lend her tongue to lying. Her conversation edifies the listener and encourages her husband to seek and follow the Lord.

The Proverbs 31 wife chooses to be "second" recognizing that God and His will must be first in her husband’s life.
