Proverbs 31 Woman by  Bobbie Powers

Chapter 23

Proverbs 31.23  "Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land."

What a woman does reflects on her husband. A wife's true characteristics cannot be hidden by her husband. The truth will surface at his work. A wife can bring honor or dishonor to her spouse at his place of leadership or employment.

The Proverbs 31 Woman chooses to bring honor to her husband. She realizes that her actions can help her husband step into greater places of responsibility and leadership. She accepts the fact that she is his "help meet" and that God has given her an important place in life as a partner to her husband.

The Proverbs 31 woman prays daily for her husband and his job. She supports him and is willing to discuss areas of mutual concern. She guards her tongue against criticism of her husband or his employers.

The Proverbs 31 woman is gracious in public situations with bosses and clients. She does not use vain flattery or praise. She does not talk incessantly or laugh immoderately. She walks quietly and confidently with God. She does not change her standards.

Lastly, the Proverbs 31 woman watches over her husband's appearance. She keeps his clothes clean, and neat. She encourages her husband to get haircuts, and to be well groomed. Daily she speaks blessing over her husband, and gives thanks to God for him.
