Proverbs 31 Woman  by Bobbie Powers

Chapter 26

Proverbs 31.26 "She openeth her mouth with wisdom, and in her tongue is the law of kindness."

Words are revealing. Words can plainly show what is in a person's mind or in their heart. "Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise; " (Proverbs 17.28)

Words also can edify and encourage or they can be used to hurt and destroy. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18.21)

The Proverbs 31 woman watches what she says and how she says it. She is not an incessant talker or a revealer of secrets. She does not have to express her opinion on every subject, or dominate every conversation.

The Proverbs 31 woman knows when to speak, and when to keep silent. She employs wisdom in knowing when to talk and what to say.

Furthermore, the Proverbs 31 woman does not burst forth in anger. Instead, the law of kindness is in her tongue. She makes it a rule not to gossip or be negative and critical of others. People are edified by talking with her.

The Proverbs 31 woman uses her voice to praise the Lord and talk of all His wondrous works. People are benefited, because she has spoken with them.
