Proverbs 31 Woman by  Bobbie Powers

Chapter 27

Proverbs 31.27 "She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness."

To be a good housekeeper requires skill and effort. A house should be ready to be a ministry area at all times. A house should have an air of rest, security, and peace. It should be a joy for anyone to enter into it. It does not have to be a showplace, but it should be pleasing to the eye. It should not be so expensive that people are afraid to sit down. However, it should look inviting and comfortable.

The Proverbs 31 woman is not uncomfortable about having guests. She has prepared her house and is "given to hospitality".

The Proverbs 31 woman makes sure her house is cleaned weekly. She also, pays attention to the grounds (yard and the outside appearance of the house). She knows that she is to be faithful even in little. She does her best with what God has given her.

The Proverbs 31 woman prays about household purchases. She lets God lead her in home improvements. She realizes that God has given her the things that she has, and that she needs to be a good steward of those things.
