Proverbs 31 Woman by Bobbie Powers

Chapter 20

Proverbs 31.20 "She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy."

There are many people in this world that are poor or have needs of some kind.

The Proverbs 31 woman recognizes this fact and uses her eyes and her heart to find those whom she may help. She does not leave the task of the poor and needy to the church or some organization. Nor does she just give money to absolve her from any responsibility.

The Proverbs 31 woman asks God to show her those around her with needs. Then she actively goes about meeting those needs.

The Proverbs 31 woman is a listener rather than a talker. She is an encourager rather than a gossiper. Her neighborhood is a better place because she lives there.

The Proverbs 31 woman prays for those on her street. She is kind to neighborhood children. She thinks of her neighbors’ rights, as well as her own rights. She does to others, as she would have them do unto her.
