Proverbs 31 Woman by Bobbie Powers

Chapter 18

Proverbs 31.18 "She perceiveth that her merchandise is good; her candle goeth not out by night.

Women's self esteem can be based on false perceptions of themselves and their achievements. Women may feel unworthy, unnecessary, and unequal. These feelings many times are followed by jealousy, envy, and hatred of others who are perceived to be better in looks, abilities, or talents.

The Proverbs 31 woman knows not to be deceived by establishing her worth in comparison with others. The Proverbs 31 woman gets the reality of who she is from God Almighty. She allows God to reveal her own personal value and abilities.

Furthermore, she realizes that God has a work for her that is uniquely important. This helps her to realize that she need never try to be like someone else. She can have the freedom to be herself.

In addition, the Proverbs 31 woman never gives up in rough times. She knows what God has called her to be and that He will establish her in it and that the results will be good. In other words, she sees herself and her situation as God sees it. Her perception is clear and the goal is established.
