Chapter 21    

Proverbs 31.21 "She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet."  

A woman needs to plan and prepare for the future. Rough times will come throughout life and prepared people will be able to come through on top of the situation.

The Proverbs 31 woman prepares herself and her family though daily Bible study and prayer. Bible truth is taught that will build strength and confidence in the Lord. Prayer time encourages and teaches a strong dependence on the Lord for all situations. Each family member is encouraged, and shown how to grow in the Lord by word and personal example.

The Proverbs 31 woman not only prepares her home spiritually for the future, but also, prepares her home physically. She builds up her food shelves so that her family will have their needs met and there will be enough to share with others in need. She does not hoard food. She knows how to balance her budget and put surplus goods on her shelves as God directs.

The Proverbs 31 woman pays attention to clothing for her family. She works to see that they are warm and dressed well. She is not lazy about laundry or shopping for other family member needs.

The Proverbs 31 woman pays attention to a family budget and the income level of her household. She is well aware of bills being paid on time and financial investments made for the future realizing that God is her source for the future. She depends on God's provision and wisdom. She simply manages what He provides for her. God makes the decisions because everything she has belongs to Him--she is simply His manager.
