Proverbs 31 Woman by Bobbie Powers

Chapter 24

Proverbs 31.24 "She maketh fine linen, and selleth it, and delivereth girdles unto the merchant."

Women have talents and abilities that many times are not even tapped. There is a tendency to believe that the man of the house should use his talents to earn a living, and that the wife doesn't need to concern herself about the talents that God has given her. How false and misleading this belief is to Christians.

The Bible does not encourage a woman to sit around all day watching television and neglecting the talents that God has given to her.

The Proverbs 31 woman realizes that she is a steward of the talents, resources, and abilities that God has placed in her life. She has a responsibility to God, herself, and her husband to use these talents, resources, and abilities in a profitable and helpful way.

A wife is never to be lazy. The idle use of time causes women to become gossips, tale-bearers, fretful, and strife producers. The Proverbs 31 woman knows that unfulfilled women are unhappy women.
